Emmanuel Tiecoura is a mid-level Associate. He primarily advises on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and financing transactions both domestic and cross-border, with particular experience in the mining, natural resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. He assists companies, financial institutions and investors with the structuring of their transactions, the negotiation and drafting of transaction documentation, as well as regulatory matters within the OHADA and WAEMU frameworks.

He has solid experience in structured finance transactions (senior loans, subordinated loans and Islamic financing), including drafting and reviewing loan and security agreements, handling registration formalities with the relevant authorities, and assisting clients with foreign exchange regulatory requirements. He also advises on equity investments, shareholders’ agreements, share purchase agreements, convertible bond issuances and due diligence processes.

Prior to joining Tilan Law Group, Emmanuel worked at the Abidjan office of the pan-African law firm Asafo & Co, where he was involved in major transactions across West Africa in the banking, financial services, mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.
